Born Jan 1948 in a village in Jaunpur Distt of Uttar Pradesh to a farmers family. Have been a meritorious student and qualified all exams in first attempt with good scores.
Passed MBBS from GSVM, Kanpur in 1969 with distinction in Anatomy, Physiology, Obs & Gynae and secured 1st position. Passed MS (Gen Surgery) in Dec 1973 from GSVM, Kanpur and then worked as Demonstrator there. Joined as Lecturer in Deptt of Gen Surgery, S N Medical College, Agra in 1975. Became Associate Professor and later Professor & Head of Dept of Surgery. Took Voluntary retirement in 2005 from the post of Prof & Head, for a greater cause – to serve GOD with TOTAL NISHKAAM as per teachings of Holy Geeta
Started performing Laparoscopic Surgery in 1990 and is the pioneer of Laparoscopic surgery in Agra region. A renowned national and international faculty and known for his technique of Laparoscopic CBD Exploration and Laparoscopic Retroperitoneal Surgeries. Performs more than 25 different Laparoscopic procedures (Intra-peritoneal, Extra-peritoneal & retro-peritoneal)
Have been a dedicated teacher right from the beginning of his carrier. After retirement started Karl Storz and SELSI endorsed Laparoscopic training Institute where training is imparted with the philosophy of GURUKUL PARAMPARA without charging any fee. So far > 500 Surgeons coming from all over the country have undergone training here. Any trainee, who works continuously for about 6 weeks, performs more than 10-20 independent laparoscopic procedures.
Nominated as founder President of SELSI (Society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of India) on 28th March 2008 at AIIMS, New Delhi. Served as President SELSI for 3 continuous terms
Nominated as President, Indian Hernia Society in 2011
Have published more than 50 articles in National & International Journals. Has delivered Guest Lectures and been invited as an operating faculty in innumerable laparoscopic surgery workshops.
Doing regular “satsang”(spiritual teachings) in hospital, bringing all towards happiness and among depressed women for their upliftment.
Have been regularly organizing laparoscopic surgery workshops cum conferences at Agra as the organising chairman. The conferences at Agra have become extremely popular and one of the most awaited events.
